Final chapter of Sri Lanka
This is the Final chapter of Srilanka, for now!
After Arugam Bay I drove off to Galle, An old town wich partially exist from an old dutch fort out of the VOC age. The first thing I saw when I stepped out of the cab was this beautifull lighthouse wich gave me the best first impression a town can give you.
Just two minutes walking from the Lighthouse I was yet again suprised. A young local guy came up to me and told me abouth his job, cliffjumping. He does his daily jump at the exact spot where I was standing. Eventough this was impressive I was totaly captured by his appearance and just wanted to know one thing… May I take your portrait? He answered with the biggest smile.
In Galle a lot happens between the walls of the fort. I was pleased to come upon this beautiful scene, which reminds me more of Cuba than Sri Lanka, what do you think?
Last stop, Negombo, a town with one trade,
Fish, lots and lots of fish.
Here I visited the fish markets, and I can assure you that you should be gratefull pictures dont own smell.
..
At last I would like to share another portrait I took of someone I met during my travels, since this is becoming a thing.
This is the badass surferchick Holly who I’ve spent my last day with.
For now I say goodbye to Sri Lanka you not only gave me good photos, you also gave me memories for a life time.
Off to a new chapter. Off to Vietnam.
